Scarlets lock Maselino Paulino has been suspended for three weeks for striking Saints star Courtney Lawes during last Saturday’s game at Parc y Scarlets.

Paulino was shown a yellow card by referee Pascal Gauzere during the second half of the match, which Northampton won 22-10.

The second-row forward appeared to land a forearm smash on Lawes during a maul and was sent to the sin bin.

Saints went on to make him pay, securing the bonus point that earned them a place in the Champions Cup quarter-finals, where they will meet Saracens.

And Paulino will now be unavailable for the Guinness Pro12 table-toppers following the independent disciplinary hearing in London on Wednesday.
