Saints set to face Castres and Leinster again in Champions Cup

Saints will square up to Castres and Leinster once again in Europe after being handed a tricky draw in this season's Champions Cup.

Chellenge Cup champions Montpellier will complete the line-up in Pool 4, which promises to provide some exciting tussles.

Saints have plenty of history with Castres and Leinster, having been pooled with both of them during the 2013/14 season.

On that occasion, Saints lost to Castres away before beating them at home, while they did the opposite against Leinster, being humbled at Franklin’s Gardens before claiming a stunning win in Dublin just a week later.

Saints’ most recent meeting with Montpellier came in January 2009, with Stephen Myler, Sean Lamont and Chris Mayor on the scoresheet in a 28-24 away success. Louis Picamoles, who has joined Northampton from Toulouse this summer, was among the Montpellier scorers on that occasion.
