Included in a video tribute to the departing men were Kahn Fotuali’i, Victor Matfield, Tim Cardall, Pat Howard, Matti Williams, Alex Woolford and Danny Hobbs-Awoyemi.

Fotuali’i’s exit is the most notable, with the Samoan scrum-half bringing an end to his three-year stay at Franklin’s Gardens.

South Africa legend Matfield will be heading home after finishing his career at the Gardens.

Centre Howard, who joined Saints last summer, will be heading to Newport-Gwent Dragons, while versatile forward Williams is off to Worcester Warriors.

Prop Hobbs-Awoyemi will be making the move to London Irish, while lofty lock Woolford looks set to switch to London Welsh.
