Daventry All Blacks made it two Division Three Midlands (South) wins on the spin as they claimed an impressive 27-9 victory at local rivals Long Buckby.

Daventry’s comprehensive win at Station Road means they have moved level on points with Buckby, and means they have a 100 per cent record in 2013.

The All Blacks are now up to third-from-bottom in the table, and will be hoping to maintain their winning run when they take on the team directly below them, Mens Own, at Stefen Hill (ko 2.15pm) on Saturday, although that game is a major doubt due to the weather

THE teams played four games in quick succession.

The scoring was pretty even with both sides playing open attacking rugby.

The Daventry players are developing into a good team that are prepared to work hard for each other.

Daventry v Dunstable

AFTER a delay to kick-off due to a frozen pitch, these two sides served up a couple of thrilling matches.

In the first half of the opening match, Dunstable put Daventry to the sword running in six tries to three.

However, in the second half Dav hit back and outscored Dunstable 4-3, but still lost the match 9-6.

The second match was a much tighter affair.

The boy and girls of Daventry were determined to show what they are made of, and for a long spell they looked to be on course for victory as they led 2-1.

But Dunstable hit back
and the final score was a 5-5 draw.
