WITH the 2012 time trial season now completed, the Midland District of the CTT has now published their final rankings for the year.
These are based on the best five performances of all Midland riders competing in more than 40 open races held in the district throughout the year.
And coming out on top of his age group was Leisure Lakes rider Vince Jenkins who was ranked number one in the 70- 74 age group.
Having been able to ride sufficient events to qualify this season, the Leisure Lakes man was not only well clear of the other riders in his group, but would also have been second, if in the 65-69 age group.
Vince races all over the country on behalf of Leisure Lakes.
He is keen to ride as many Midland events as possible in support of local clubs, who are the mainstay of the sport and work so hard to promote and develop cycling in the Midlands.
“Without them, we would not be able to enjoy our sport,” said Vince, who cannot wait to take up the challenge of trying to maintain his ranking next year.
