RICHARD Barnes secured his third club championship at Hellidon Lakes over the weekend.
He shot rounds of 80 and 79 to win by two strokes from Paul Craig and head greenkeeper Adrian Harris who both scored rounds of 81 and 79.
In division two, Richard Wood claimed victory with rounds of 86 and 88, in second was Malcolm Gregory 92 and 91 and in third club captain Shaun Start 92 and 93.
The Hellidon Scut on Sunday for division three players was won by Mick Canning who scored 39 stableford points. In second Nick Reaves also 39 points lost out on countback and in third Brian Jones with 38 points.
Hellidon’s handicap league team captained by Chris Harvey secured their sixth victory on Thursday night with a fine 10-7 win at Cherwell Edge GC and next entertain Farthingstone GC in the final league match.
