DARTS player Rachel Harris had double reason to celebrate this week after winning the Ladies’ Knockout final and becoming the first registered 170 finish by a lady in the Daventry Darts League.

In the final of the Ladies’ Knockout competition Rachel Harris (100x4) beat Sam Harris (121, 100x2, 80) to retain the ladies’ singles title.

In the first round of the Ladies’ Knockout competition there were wins for Donna Kingston (104, 85, 83x2, 81) 2-0 over Lynn Tyler, Sam Harris (81x2, 91f) 2-0 over Annette Heath (108, 97, 87), Adele Heath (117, 95, 83, 90f) 2-1 over Lyn Harris, Hayley Parker (bye), Cara Feasey (104, 95, 91) 2-1 over Ki Swain (100x3, 85, 81), Rachel Harris (135, 125, 100, 85) 2-0 over Donna Taylor (100), Cheryl Astill (92, 85) 2-0 over Debbie Farrant (125, 116) and Helen Beaumont 2-0 over Bells Doney.

In the quarter-finals Sam Harris (140, 100, 97) beat Donna Kingston (121, 95, 94, 93, 85x2), Adele Heath (93, 82) beat Hayley Parker 2-0, Rachel Harris (100x2, 81, 80, 170f) beat Cara Feasey 2-0 and Cheryl Astill (128, 95) beat Helen Beaumont (95, 85) 2-0.

In the semi-finals Sam Harris (121, 100x2, 81, 80) beat Adele Heath (95, 93, 85) 2-1 and Rachel Harris, who went on to win the competition, (100x4, 85, 81) beat Cheryl Astill (100, 85, 81) 2-0.

Performances of the evening go to Rachel Harris 170f, Sam Harris 96f and Adele Heath 90f.
