Quality Rainbows

WITH the largest turnout for years, 42 anglers weighed in an incredible 75 fish at the Pitsford Fur and Feather match.

“This year’s Pitsford Fur and Feather match fished from the boats, was probably the best ever of its type,” said Pitsford Water’s head warden, Nathan Clayton.

Fished in superb weather, more like early October than the dark, damp conditions associated with this time of year, fantastic quality Rainbow Trout were brought to the scales.

The best Rainbow caught on the day weighed 6lb 4½oz and was taken by Garry Edmunds.
