HELLIDON Lakes Golf Club are through to the semi-finals of the Northamptonshire handicap league.
They won their final two league matches at home to Overstone and Staverton Park.
They now play Kettering at Kingsthorpe golf club on Saturday, September 22.
This year’s green keepers’ cup, which is a modified stableford competition, was won by five handicapper Tom Laver with a score of 28 points.
In second place was Richard Barnes 24 points on countback from Paul Upfield in third also on 24 points.
The Ken Hanley Cup bogey competition was won by Paul King one of Hellidon’s founder members with a score of six.
In second place was Roy Trim with a score of two on countback from Malcolm Gregory in third.
This year’s Men’s Invitation took place on Saturday in glorious weather.
The victors were Paul Upfield and his guest Stuart Aris with a betterball stableford score of 46 points one shot further back was Richard French and guest Luke Brockway with 45 points.
