NEW club records have been set by several Dolphins swimmers.

All were own records unless stated with the previous record time in brackets

Joseph Iacovides aged 12yrs x 4: 400m freestyle 5.0041 (5.02.00)/100m butterfly 1.15.92 (1.17.65)/400m Individual medley 5.46.41 (5.51.93) and 200m Ind. Medley 2.47.55 (2.47.93) set by George Barnes in 2004.

These records were set at the City of Birmingham Open Meet. Joseph has a full set of qualifying times for the Midlands Regional Championships.

Anya Bennett aged 12yrs x 1: 50m breaststroke 37.73 (38.37) set at the Leicester Diddy League Gala at Hinckley.

Emma Bond 14yrs x 1: 200m freestyle 2.16.66 set at the Rugby Open meet (2.17.40). The previous record was set in 1995 by Nichola Smith.

Rachel Sullivan 14yrs x 1 200m backstroke 2.35.34 set at the Ruby Open meet (2.35.48) previously set by Nichola Smith in 1995).

There have been two team competitions this month.

The first rounds of the Leicester and District Diddy League was for swimmers aged 9-12yrs. The first round was held at Hinckley Leisure Centre. Result: 1st City of Coventry 248; 2nd Solihull 180; 3rd Hinckley 172; 4th Daventry Dolphins 159; 5th Oadby and Wigston 106.

After round one, the DDSC are in 15th place out of 22 teams.
