Daventry Dolphins are through to the final of the Leicester & District Diddy League following an excellent team effort in the second round event at Braunstone.
After winning their first round gala, it was always going to be a tough ask to do the same in round two, especially coming up against another round one winner and last year’s champions Kimberley SC.
Kimberley proved too strong on the night but the Dolphins A could hold their heads high by finishing second. There were 38 personal best times on the day.
This result has ensured the Dolphins A team a place in the final on June 28 at Braunstone Pool.
It will be a six-team gala and going into the final, the Dolphins team are ranked fifth.

Dolphins win Flipper Memorial Gala
The Dolphins took an almost full strength team to Market Harborough for the Flipper Memorial Gala.
Having narrowly been beaten to second place in 2013, head coach Rob Sharp wanted the swimmers to prove a point by putting pressure on themselves to deliver a great performance.
He was not disappointed as the the team came away with the win but was hard pressed all the way by Coalville and the hosts Market Harborough A.
Result: Daventry Dolphins 241, Coalville 233, Market Harborough A 223, Nene Valley 147, Leicester Sharks 93, Market Harborough B 88
