RUGBY Triathlon Club is actively developing the coaching team to coach both adults and juniors and to help develop athletes from beginners through to champions.

Ian Payne has achieved his level two British Cycling Coaching Qualification. Ian is now qualified to deliver safe, ethical and effective cycling coaching to juniors and adults.

Phillipa Scott, has also joined the coaching team to coach the juniors in the swim discipline. Phillipa is an ASA qualified coach and will help the youngest and less experienced juniors.

Dave Rouse joined the coaching team earlier this year having achieved his Triathlon Level One Coaching Qualification.

The Adult Club trains at Rugby School Sports Centre on a Tuesday evening for swim and Thursday evening run. Cycle sessions also take place on Sunday mornings.

The Junior Club, which also trains at Rugby School Sports Centre, currently has 40 enthusiastic young members aged eight to 16 who meet every Sunday at 2pm for two hours for the weekly training session. Visit www.rugby triathlon.org.uk
