American enforcer Samu Manoa has been crowned Saints’ supporters’ player of the year for the second year in succession.

The powerful forward won the award for the 2012/13 campaign and has backed it up by retaining his title after another fine season in the green, black and gold.

Manoa hit double figures in his quest for tries and was nominated for the Premiership Rugby player of the season award.

He was also named alongside Saints team-mates Stephen Myler and Luther Burrell in the league’s dream team.

Manoa picked up his award at the end-of-season dinner on Monday night, with Christian Day, Ethan Waller and Jamie Elliott also in the prizes.

Day was named Saints players’ player of the season, with his team-mates paying tribute to his studious approach to lineouts.

Waller was named young player of the season after a fine campaign that has seen him play a big role at loosehead.

And Elliott, unsurprisingly, picked up the try of the season prize for his sensational effort at Gloucester in September.
