DAVENTRY RFC U9s played host to visitors St Andrews in three very close encounters.
Despite having to play by the alternative Warwickshire laws, Daventry ran out winners in all three games 2-0, 1-0 and 2-0.
With St Andrews providing stiff opposition with some of the best tackling the team has faced the games were free-flowing and enjoyed by spectators and players alike.
Performances of note from Daventry came from much-improved tackling frrom Max, Jo and Ryan.
After a short absence, Alex Clift has returned stronger and more determined carrying the ball excellently.
Twins Adam and Luke and Rhys Lockhart were involved in all aspects of play and Rory Searle showed his potential as a quality player, becoming more and more an integral part of the team.
Jake Hawes earned himself man of the match with an impressive performance both in the tackle and holding on to the ball showing why he is a vital member of the team.
