Former Saints forward Fisher joins Bristol

Fisher was out of contract at Franklin’s Gardens and with France star Louis Picamoles coming in to compete with Sam Dickinson at No.8 next season, the 27-year-old found himself looking for a move.

Bristol have provided him with the opportunity to play more Aviva Premiership rugby during the 2016/17 campaign, having beaten Doncaster Knights to secure promotion back to the big time.

Fisher made 25 appearances for Saints after joining the club following a successful trial period during the summer of 2014.

The former London Irish forward scored one try, which came on his debut, against Gloucester in September, 2014.
