In an amazing performance, Cameron Waldock scored all seven as Daventry Town Vikings Under-12s beat Kingsthorpe Jets 7-3.

Scorer: Cameron Waldock 7

Team: Daniel Ward, Megan Critchley, Keenan French, Reagan Gibson, Lee Smith, Cameron Waldock, Finn Hourigan, Ben Kaye, Max Adams, Kian Humpage, Daniel Brown, Isaac Parkinson, Khiri Brannan, Ben Sefton

Report: Waldock scored his first after just five minutes, and set the tone. It was 3-0 by half-time, with Waldock completing his hat-trick, finishing well after some fine team play. Jets were in no mood to lie down though, and a brilliant start to the second half saw them fight back to level the match at 3-3. Vikings were now struggling, but some lovely team work from Megan and Ben K set up Waldock to make it 4-3. Saxons were now back on the front foot, and Waldock score three more to finish it off. A much tighter game than the score suggests.

LONG BUCKBY Under 14s picked up their first win in more than a year when they swept Parkland Tigers aside 7-0 on Sunday.

After a tough Under 13 campaign which saw

Buckby developing a new squad, their deserved first

win came in their third Northampton & District Youth Alliance game of the new campaign.

Fionn Doherty struck from the penalty spot to get the scoring under way before Owen Knight flicked home from a free kick to give Buckby a 2-0 interval lead.

Buckby extended their lead early in the second half when Olie Male scored from open play after a further sustained spell of pressure.

With confidence visibly growing, Doherty put the result beyond doubt with his second of the game before Toby Morley, Calum Crawford and Mathew Armstrong wrapped up a long-awaited, but much deserved, win.
