Town struggle to victory

DAVENTRY Town got away with daylight robbery when extending their winning run to seven matches after scoring twice in the last five minutes to beat North Greenford by a 3-2 margin on a saturated Communications Park pitch on Tuesday night.

Josh Blake’s well-taken fifth-minute goal gave the Town an early cushion but woeful defending, poor passing and lack of fighting spirit enabled North Greenford to hit back with goals either side of half-time from Andre De Lisser and Jamie Diston.
