Three points in the bag

NEWNHAM FC gained their first three points of the season after a 6-1 victory against F.C G.B.F.

Wojtek Butynski gave F.C G.B.F the lead with a powerful drive.

Gaz Parry led the way with a well-taken treble.

Anthony Hyams hit a double but the goal of the game came from defender Nathan Graves with a precise left-foot finish.

Two of the league’s undefeated teams came head to head with The Sons of Pitches coming out on top with a 2-1 victory against Ajax Treesdown.

Tom Freezer gave Ajax the lead in the first minute but two goals either side of half-time from Damon Black secured the victory.

Werder Flemin remain undefeated after a 3-2 victory against Club Tropicana.

Ji Sung Sparks gave Werder the lead with a fine headed goal and minutes later scored again.

Kev Moore replied before half-time with another great header. Dean Fleming then restored Werder’s two-goal lead.

A late Adam Corcoran goal made the last few minutes interesting but Werder held strong. Olimpic Daventry remain top of the table after a 3-2 victory against CSM Daventry.

Piotr Zybd gave CSM the lead early in the second-half after a fine one-touch team goal.

Oleg Urbanovics then replied from the penalty spot. Pavel Chluby and Urbanovics added his second to put Olimpic 3-1 up.

Zybd scored his second late on but it was too late to earn CSM what would have been a deserved point.
