WOODFORD United travelled to the high-flying Premier Division favourites, with the new manager’s belief in trying out young players.
Woodford started well and matched Rushall in all departments early on.
They should have taken the lead on 15 minutes when Tommy Kinch’s superb free-kick was only parried by the home keeper.
But Forinton somehow missed the target as he pounced on the knock down ball.
Woodford continued to work hard to stop the threat of Rushall and fully deserved to go into the break level.
The opening goal arrived for the home side on the hour mark.
Ahmed Obeng latched on to a good through ball, before cutting inside and firing into the far post.
Ten minutes later Obeng made it two in similar circumstances. This one he fired into the top corner giving Brassington no chance.
Andre Landell headed home at the far post in stoppage time to make it three.
Woodford entertain Aylesbury at Byfield Road on Saturday and will be looking to put some points on the board to kick start their season.
