Casey’s were frustrated as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Barley Mow in the Rugby & District League.
The game started well for Casey’s as on their first attack, striker Chris Trill found the net from close range to make it 1-0.
But just minutes later Barley Mow equalised as one of their players was gifted a free header in the box from a corner.
Casey’s eventually started to dominate, and should have added to the scoreline, but efforts from Trill and Tozer went wide.
Barley Mow were reduced to 10 men just before the interval, and Casey’s should have scored in the second half several times.
But excellent goalkeeping and poor finishing prevented the breakthrough.
Barley defended suprberly, and would have scored in the dying minutes but for the intervention of Casey’s keeper Tom Consentino whose challenge harshly earned him a red card but prevented a certain goal.
This weekend Casey’s travel to Avon Mill in Rugby for another group game in the Hospital Cup competition.
