SOCCER SEVENS: Turner header bags precious point for Skrtels

Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels missed the chance to go top of the Thursday League table after a 2-2 draw with Olympiacos.

Josh Hyams and Josh Bosworth put Olympiacos two goals to the good but Skrtels fought back with goals from Jamie Sedgley and a Shaun Turner header late on.

Supporting Lisbon’s continued their fine form with another win, this time 8-0 against Pjanic at the Isco. Matt Farrell led the way with a four goal haul, Chris Cowley and Alex Kibblewhite both hitting doubles.

Long Buckby Peacock went top of the table after a hard fought 4-2 win against Forgone Conclusion.

Jordan Hamer and Ryan Swann put Forgone ahead but two Craig Hyde goals levelled things up. Matt Goode was the match winner with two late goals sending Buckby top of the table.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels were 3-0 winners against Notin’ Forest. Jamie Sedgley was in inspired form with a send half hat-trick.

Moves Like Agger held Real Daventry to a 2-2 draw with consequently knocked them off the top of the table.

Jake Sanderson put Real ahead but two Ricky Jones strike put Agger in the driving seat.

Sanderson added a mate send to level things up.

Ladzio were 4-2 winners against Notin’ Forest. The match winning goals coming from Robert Oliver, a own goal and Steve Jones double. Connor Aldridge and Marcus Thorneycroft were on target for Forest.

Zingers end Sevens’ unbeaten run

Saxons Sevens suffered their first Sunday League defeat of the season after a 1-0 defeat by Zingers United.

Saxons had a man sent off early on for deliberate hard ball but Josh Davis saved the penalty and kept them in the game with a string of saves.

Dan Smith proved to be the match winner mate on with a low strike. Admiral Nelson NAFC also suffered their first defeat at the hands of now league leaders LMA.

Gaz Parry was on target again with the winning goal. Inter ran out 5-0 winners against Forgone Conclusion.

Sam Birtwistle was in inspired form netting a treble, Craig Hyde and a fine Kiefer McCleary strike sealed the win. Murder on Zidanes Floor were 4-2 winners against current champions Olimpic Daventry.

Dan Wilkes led the way with a double, Wayne Roberts and a smart Tom Freezer volley sealed the win. Josh Hyams and Pavel Hruby replied for Olimpic.

Forgone Conclusion were narrow 2-1 winners against Rapid Vienna.

Ryan Swann put Forgone ahead but Daniel Hyde finished well to equalise. Swann added his second late on to seal the 3 points.

James at the double as Elite open with win

Hardcore Elite were 5-2 winners against Bunfica in the Monday League.

In a narrow game both keepers made plenty of first half saves but the scores were level at half time.

Lee James went on to score a double, Andy Fincham, Ben Hallet and Nick Hammond sealed the win.

Lewis Chilton was on hand with a brace of his own for Bunfica. Inter were 9-1

winners against Black Knights.

Josh Hyams, Andre Galhos and Tonasz Zelichowski all scoring hat-tricks. Joel Lacey scored a fine solo goal for the Knights.

Inter were 8-4 winners against Pjanic at the Isco. Robbie Smith led the way with a four goal haul, Jake Hyams hit a treble and Tom Sparks also found the net.

Pjanic’s goals coming from Josh Bosworth’s double, Liam Burns and Alex Stampolakis.
