SOCCER SEVENS: Burkett’s late strike keeps Real on course

Real Daventry remain the Thursday League title favourites after a 3-2 win against second place Teenage Mutant Ninja Skrtels.

The league’s top scorer Jake Sanderson gave Real a 2-0 lead but Scott Jones levelled things up in the second half with a fine double. Tony Burkett fired home late on to seal the points.

Supporting Lisbon’s came from a goal down to beat title contenders Long Buckby Peacock thanks to a Michael Buckmaster header and a fine Alex Kibblewhite strike. Harry Winters had headed the Peacock into a early lead.

Olympiacos were 5-1 winners against Moves Like Agger. Darragh Davis and Josh Hyams both scored a brace apiece and Josh Bosworth sealed the win.

Ben Winterbourn’s smart finish had earlier levelled things up.

Ladzio were 2-1 winners against Forgone Conclusion in a tight game. Ryan Swann continued his fine form in front of goal putting Forgone into the lead in the first half but a own goal and a Ryan Milton strike sealed the win for Ladzio.

Pjanic at the Isco and Notin’ Forest played out a entertaining 1-1 draw. Richard Mansell looked to have won the game for Forest late on with a unstoppable effort, but Conor Maine followed suit with a stunning volley to equalise.

Boca Pick up the points thanks to Liam’s strike

IN the Sunday League, Boca Seniors were 1-0 winners against Rapid Vienetta.

Rapid defended excellently but Liam Pickard finally broke through with a smart finish. Saxons Sevens remain the only unbeaten team after a 7-2 win against Forgone Conclusion. Jake Sanderson led the way scoring four times, while Jason Lee, Henry Spears and Jack Wise all also found the net.

The league’s top scorer Ryan Swann was again on target, as was Josh Payne. LMA continued their good start to the season with a narrow 3-2 win against Murder on Zidanes Floor. Josh Hyams led the way with a double and Jamie Sedgley was also on target for LMA.

Dan Wilkes fired both goals for Murder on Zidanes Floor.

Olimpic Daventry ran out 2-0 winners against Inter. Last season’s top goalscorer Pavel Hruby was on hand to seal the win with two clever finishes.

FC Davcelona were in fine form agaist Zingers United coming from behind to take a 2-1 victory. Leon Edwards put Zingers a goal to the good at half time scrabbling home. Wojtek Butynski equalised with a fine strike and Andre Galhos won the game late on with the goal of the night, an unstoppable volley in off the post.
