D Grange Blades U14s 0

Gregory Celtic 2

A tight game was settled by two very good Celtic goals scored towards the end of the game.

Blades had chances in the first half but could not convert and Celtic were denied by the brilliance of Blades’ keeper Jaime Rogers.

Celtic pressed throughout and played lovely football at times but Blades’ exceptional workrate meant they were always in contention.

Matthias Nyankawanu led the front line for Blades and man of the match.

On the day Celtic deserved the win in what was a very good game of football.

D Grange Colts U10s 0

Moulton Magpies White 1

Colts largely dominated this game but could not find a way past Moulton’s packed defence and in-form goalkeeper.

Several players came close but could not find the net.

The Colts’ passing game was again superb but Moulton scored with five minutes to go.

Weedon Juniors U15s 5

Bilton Ajax 0

Weedon started better and, after scoring an early goal, through Sam Eyes, they controlled the first-half ending it 5-0.

Further goals came from Darragh Davis, Ryan Stafferton and two from Karl Mandefield.

Weedon continued to dominate in the second half but were unable to add to their half-time score.

D Grange Blades U9s 8

Grendon Sapphires 2

This was an exciting game played by the Blades with lots of goals.

Jonathon Pepper and Joshua Pawlett in defence, Malachi Bignell, Marshal Adams and Kallum Duffy played well.

Lewis Elkin’s corners into the goalmouth made the game well worth watching.

Captain Marshal was awarded man of the match.

D Grange Blades U16s 0

D Grange U16s Colts 2

In the second leg of the club derby, Elliott Hynes opened the scoring for Colts with a strong headed goal following a well-taken corner from Connor Massie.

Blades started strongly in the second half and were awarded a penalty, which was brilliantly saved by Kieran Grindlay.

Elliott Hynes got his second, which the Blades keeper was unlucky not to stop.

Colts controlled the remainder of the game at two nil and Jack Hogben was man of the match.

D Grange All Stars U11s 4

Eastern Eagles 1

Under-strength eight-man Eastern Eagles took an early lead but succumbed to sustained All Stars pressure to trail at half-time 3-1.

Wasteful All Stars added one more goal in the second-half as lots of chances in both halves were squandered.

Ben Robinson scored a brace of goals for Drayton.

Danes U13s 2

Blisworth 2

Danes came back from being 2-0 down when Sam Flockhart scored with two quality finishes.

Michael Fish almost snatched the winner in the last minute when his wicked shot struck the crossbar from 25 yards.

Adam Grogan was brilliant in midfield and was awarded man of the match.

Daventry Town U12s 1

Moulton Magpies 0

The game started slow but when it got going it sprung into action with both keepers making saves.

Daventry got a break through with a well-taken goal from Shay 1-0.

In the second half saw Daventry started better but as the game went on Moulton came back in the game.

A very good double save from Alex kept the score at 1-0.

Daventry held on with some good pressure and there was an impressive performance from the whole team earning them all man of the match.
