Plymouth Argyle will wait for the details of the referee’s report from Saturday’s game before deciding whether to take any action against their stadium announcer.

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was incensed during the final moments of the first half at comments from the Plymouth club official to the referee and the fourth official.

An Argyle spokesman said: “We are awaiting the various match reports, including that of the referee’s assessor, and their contents will determine how we proceed.”

Wilder felt the announcer was acting in a way which an employee of a football club should not, and that he was trying to influence the match officials.

“I had a disagreement with the stadium announcer because he was trying to get into the fourth official (Mark Russell) and the referee (Stephen Martin),” he said.

“I think he’s there to be a stadium announcer and nothing else, and if ours did that I would get rid of him.
