Long Buckby are back on the road this Saturday as they try to get back to winning ways in the UCL Premier Division.

Phil Mason’s men are still languishing just above the relegation zone, following last weekend’s 3-1 home defeat at the hands of fellow strugglers Sleaford.

Buckby travel to the east of the county on Saturday to play Wellingborough Town, who were narrow 2-1 winners over division one side Spencer in the UCL KO Cup on Tuesday.

In last Saturday’s defeat tp Sleaford, the first-half dismissal od Jon Crockett proved pivotal. Sleaford were 2-0 up by the break, and although Joe Power pulled a goal back from the penalty spot for the Bucks, it was the visitors who sealed the win with a third goal.

Long Buckby v Sleaford: Paul Warnecki, Callum Burston, Todd Sawko (Dan Bucciero), Ridge Esslifie, Robson Kightley, Jon Crockett, Joe Power, Dan Childs, Howard Forinton, Lance Allen (Josh Crawley), Jean Dakouri.
