Phil Mason has demanded a big response from his Long Buckby players after they were ‘humiliated’ at home last weekend.
The Bucks were beaten 7-2 by Deeping Rangers, with only goals from Joe Power and James Allcock providing any sort of consolation.
Mason labelled it a ‘bad day at the office’, but has made it clear he expects a much better showing when his men host S&L Corby in another UCL Premier Division clash this weekend.
He said: “We just didn’t manage to get out of the traps last weekend.
“We’ve got to get it out of our system and move on. We got a good hiding to be honest.
“We deserved nothing and we’re not making any excuses. We were humiliated.
“We’ve got quite a young side and it’s a learning curve for us.
“We’ve got to learn from the mistakes and make sure they don’t happen again.
“I want a big response from the lads this weekend and we’ve got to bounce back straight away by getting a win.”
