All Stars U11s 5 Billing United 3

Billing took the lead but Drayton equalised. Drayton got to 3-1 early in the second-half but Billing later levelled at 3-3. In the dying minutes Drayton scored twice to seal the win. Man of the match was Travis Berrill.

Daventry Town U12s 4 Brackley Town 0

Daventry Town scored an early goal from Shay and Harry got his first for two-nil. Brandon added a superb goal in the second-half.

Harry then added his second. Daventry Town Vikings U11s 1

Bugbrooke U11s 3

Bugbrooke opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Vikings’ Thomas Clements hit the crossbar twice. Aidan Crawley, Ed Moyes, Oliver Brady and Blaine Chatwin played well. Brandon Holmes scored to make a match of it at 2-1 then Towcester scored from a penalty for 3-1.

Man of the match went to Edward Moyes.

Drayton Grange Blades U13 5

Harpole 4

Blades showed determination to see off a good Harpole team who took the lead. But Joe Squirrell equalised from the penalty spot.

Kian Daniels and Nathan Butler scored fantastic individual goals with Harpole hitting back.

Nathan and Joe scored again to edge it for the Blades. Man of the match was Jake Osborne.

Danes U13s 1 Blisworth 6

Danes were missing two key players and went in two down in an evenly-matched first-half. Rob Stewart scored the goal in the second-half. Connor Porter made excellent saves, Ollie Reeve never gave up and Eddie Buse deserved his man of the match award.

Long Buckby Juniors U13s 3

Daventry Town Vikings 2

A tense, well-fought game between the league’s bottom two sides, was settled late on with a goal from Buckby’s Ollie Halford.

Jordan Sadler put Buckby ahead midway through the opening half, before Vikings clawed an equaliser back. Bruce Bateman headed Buckby back in front after the Vikings’ keeper parried into his path.

Caley McTeggart hit the post before taking over from Thomas Ashcroft in goal after he had collided with a Vikings’ striker making a late lunge. Charlie Clayton was awarded man of the match.

DTFC Saxons U11s 1

Blisworth Green 0

The Saxons had to battle in the fog to beat Blisworth and Daventry failed to test the opposing goalkeeper.

The Blisworth keeper made excellent saves to keep the Saxons out in the second-half.

With only a few minutes left, the ball landed at George Price’s feet who smashed the ball in from the edge of the box to seal the points.

Daventry Town Vikings U9s 1

Heyford Athletic Rockets 2

Daventry Town Vikings conceded a goal in the last few minutes against the Heyford Athletic Rockets losing the match 2-1.

Sam Collins scored from a Finn Hourigan shot. But The Rockets levelled.

After the break Vikings had chance after chance but it was not their day and the Rockets ran out 2-1 winners. Vikings’ man of the match was Brandon Brown.

Drayton Grange Colts 2

Daventry Town Vikings 2

Colts took a few minutes to get into the game but then put Vikings under pressure for a spell until a breakaway goal put them one down. Good work from midfield was superbly finished by George Iacovides for the equaliser.

Vikings went 2-1 up and Colts equalised through a Tom P goal.

D Grange Blades U14s 3 Woodford United 1

This was a very good cup tie played in great spirit between two evenly-matched teams.

Blades took the lead through Matthias Nyakanyanga’s close-range finish and extended this advantage with a Robbie Farrell header to go 2-0 up at the break.

Blades went 3-0 up with a second from Matthias from a glancing header. Woodford got a deserved goal toward the end and Curley Street was again excellent in goal, winning man of the match.
