Goal spree wins it

DAVCELONA remain unbeaten at the top of the Soccersixes Wednesday six-a-side football league in Daventry.

Davcelona faced off against second-place Coach and Horses. Both teams went into the match having won their first three games.

In the hard-fought game both teams were equal at two apiece.

But goals from Martin Grainger (4), Luke Ireland (3) and Lewis Shrimpton (2) saw Davcelona run away with it in the second-half, with the game finishing 9-3.

The goalscorers for Coach and Horses were Dan Clarke (2) and one spectacular goal from Aaron Crampton.

Elsewhere in the Premiership new team William Parker were up against a skilful Daventry Olympic.

While William Parker were finding their feet, Daventry Olympic fired in a couple of quick goals to give them a satisfying 4-0 victory.

Man of the match for that game was William Parker’s captain Mark Fletcher for his inspired performance in the second-half.

Soccersixes are always on the look out for new teams wishing to join the league at the Daventry Sports Centre.
