COMBINATION: Taylor and Trill on the mark as Grange see off Burton

Drayton Grange eased into the next round of the Northants Lower Junior Cup as they saw off Burton United 2-0.

The men on the mark for Grange were Darren Taylor and Chris Trill.

Weedon are out though after they were beaten 5-1 at United Counties League side Peterborough Sports Reserves 5-1, Dan Renshaw scoring their consolation.

In the league, West Haddon Albion slipped to a 2-1 defeat at Grange Park Rangers in division two despite a goal from Daniel Smith.

In reserve division one, Weedon Reserves were left frustrated as they drew 2-2 with Weldon United.

Scorers for Weedon were Curtis Lindeman and Gavin Oliff.

Daventry Drayton Grange Reserves still lead the way in reserve division two, but only by a single point as they dropped two points in their match at Desborough & Rothwell. The match ended 2-2, with efforts from Rhys Collins and Dan Hutchinson securing a point that proved crucial, as it keeps them above rivals AFC Corby Shamrock, who were 7-0 winners over Finedon Volta Reserves.

West Haddon Albion Reserves have become more competitive, but they still lost, 2-1 at home to close rivals Corby Ravens despite a strike from Edward Harman.
