Darren Taylor scored four times as Daventry Drayton Grange stayed top of division one of the Northants Combination with a 10-0 thrashing of Corby Ravens.

Adam Cox and Richard Maloney both scored twice, and there were singles for Jed Brennan and Chris Trill.

Weedon also enjoyed a win on the road, although theirs was a more hard fought 2-1 victory at Clipston.

In Reserve Division Two, West Haddon Albion were beaten 4-3 at home by Bugbrooke B.

West Haddon Albion’s first team were in NFA Lower Junior Cup action, and were on the wrong end of a 7-3 scoreline in their clash at Wellingborough Gleneagles.

Albion’s goals came from Mark Cadman, Gavin Cope and Joe Smith.

In the NFA Area Cup, Weedon Reserves went down 1-0 at home to Yardley United, but there was better 
news for Drayton Grange Reserves as they squeezed through by beating Brackley Old Boys 5-3.

Daniel Hutchinson was the hat-trick hero for Grange, with Alex O’Connor and Marcin Chmielewski also on target.
