Weedon progressed into the next of the Northants FA Lower Junior Cup, as they saw off Combination rivals Kettering Park Rovers 3-2.

On the mark for the villagers were Daniel Healy, Tony Linnell and Tom Murfitt.

In division one, Daventry Drayton Grange stayed in touch with rthe frontrunners as they saw off Clipston 2-1.

Scorers for Grange were Matthew Russ and Jamie Sedgley, and the win sees Grange stay in sixth place, but they are only three points off leaders Burton United and they have a game in hand.

In division two, West Haddon’s poor start to the season continued as they were beaten 6-1 at Higham.
