Northamptonshire batsman Kyle Coetzer will be heading to Australasia early next year following Scotland’s qualification for the World Cup.
The Scots booked their place with a three-wicket victory over Kenya in their final qualifying game in Christchurch.
In pursuit of the Kenyan’s 260, the Scots reached their target with three balls to spare and as many wickets in hand as Rob Taylor’s unbeaten 46 proved decisive.
Coetzer played two games in the tournament in New Zealand.
The UAE secured the other qualification place with a 36-run defeat of Namibia and will face the Scots in the tournament final on Saturday.
The winners will be put in Group A for the showpiece event alongside England, Australia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Afghanistan with the losers entering Group B with South Africa, India, Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe.
