Long Buckby's Ollie Wilkinson holds off a challenge from Boston.

TOP-FORM Long Buckby put in a confident performance against Boston Town to bag all three points on Saturday.

The win sees the Bucks go back into the top two places of the UCL Premier Division.

Buckby were unlucky not to go ahead in the first 15 minutes when they had the ball headed off the line after a period of sustained early pressure.

One of the best chances of the half fell to Greg Ling who got through the visitor’s defence but with only the keeper to beat failed to find the net.

Later on Fazel Koriya also had a good chance in the area but this time he was unable to connect.

The deadlock was broken when Dan Quigley got the home side off to a dream start with his opening goal in the 37th minute.

Quigley went on to score a second from the penalty spot in the final minute of added time at the end of the first-half.

This gave Buckby a 2-0 interval advantage.

Boston came out in the second-half with it all to do. But despite a couple of chances on goal were unable to find the net.

Buckby refused to take their foot off the gas and kept on pounding the visitor’s goalmouth.

Fazel Koriya put in an impressive performance and always looked like adding to the goal tally.

Then in the 68th minute his efforts were rewarded when he completed the Buckby scoring and ensured that the three points stayed at Station Road.
