Daventry All Blacks made it three wins in a row in the Midlands Division Three East (South) when they triumphed 40-23 at rock-bottom Old Newtonians.

The win has lifted Daventry up to seventh in the league table.

The All Blacks are back in action this weekend when they entertain Mens Own at Stefen Hill (ko 2.15pm).

It was another bad day for Daventry’s neighbours Long Buckby, as they were beaten 27-9 by Stockwood Park at Station Road.

All of Buckby’s points came from the boot of Jonny Palmer who slotted three penalties.

The defeat was Buckby’s fifth defeat out of the past six games in Midlands Division Three East (South).

They are now in serious danger of relegation, having slipped to second from bottom.
