Bruce Lange came off the bench to rattle in a well-taken hat-trick in under 30 minutes during the second-half.
Rich Rogers with a brace and Stuart Burke capped an inspirational display completing the tally. Woodford had shown great spirit and determ
ination, especially during an even first- half during which Rich
Thorburn had netted.
Aston Villa Vets secured their place in the over 35s
divisional KO Cup with a deserved closely-fought win over AEI Rugby, with an Andy Calvey strike proving decisive.
Division One
AFC Caseys 3 Club 101 4
Club 101 moved to within six points of the runners-up spot as they won by the odd goal in seven against AFC Caseys. Despite a Matt Farrell treble for Caseys, the
Hoteliers hit back through Chris Trill (2), Michael
Fielding and James Sedgeley to claim all three points.
Drayton Grange 8
Pike and Eel 0
Drayton Grange's 100 per cent record remained intact as the Pike and Eel were on the wrong end of an 8-0 scoreline. Despite a committed display from the Pike, Tom Waldock (2), Ian Waldock, Rich Price, Nathan Cockerton all netted, with both Damon Black and keeper Ashley Baxter both turning in superb dispays. Black scored twice and created two other efforts, while Baxter was in fine form keeping yet another clean sheet.
