Daventry racer Paul Wardell sped to a podium finish in the MiniTwin race series at Oulton Park at the weekend.
He finished as second rookie in the second race of the day after learning from his fourth spot in the first.
Paul was racing for the BCL Racing Team and was pleased with his performance on he track he had not ridden on before.
After a poor start in the first race, Paul battled back to finish fourth rookie and was able to build from that experience.
He said: "Having sat and examined race one I focused on improving my start and on riding more smoothly for race two. It paid off.
"It was an awesome race. I had my chin right on the petrol tank at every opportunity in an attempt to streamline myself and eek more speed out of the bike.
"My sponsors Bee Design were at the meeting to support me so I am glad to be able to give them and the BCL team another podium finish."
