Junior football round-up

Drayton Grange Blades U9s 8
Silverstone Flyers 0
This was a great start for the Blades with Joseph Iacovides scoring the first goal followed by a second from Brady Mckie.
There were good strikes but unlucky misses from Sam Hennessy. A great save from Sam Robson off the line stopped Silverstone Flyers from scoring.
In the second-half Joseph and Brady scored their hat-tricks and two good goals also came from Nathan R
eynolds.
Drayton Grange Demons 4
Kettering Town 0
Drayton dominated most of the game, pushing forward for most of the time. the midfield played some excellent passes to allow
Drayton to score before half-time. Drayton's defence were solid throughout. Kelsey Midson earned herself man of the match for an outstanding game. Drayton were 4-0 winners at full time earning their first win of the season so far. Scorers: Carly Lakey 2, Megan Roberts 2.
Daventry Town Vikings U10s 1
Grange Park 1 (win 0-2 on penalties)
Vikings took the lead through Bradley Osborne-Wells hitting a long looping shot which dropped in under the bar thanks to Sam Flockhart's following in run which put the keeper in two minds.
In the second-half, Luke Stevens, Mason Phillips, Jack Goodman and Jordan Koria defended superbly and Charlie Whiteside, Bradley Osborne-Wells and Sam Flockhart were attacking well, Daventry piled on the pressure for a goal in the final minutes.
From this Grange Park grabbed a late goal to take it into extra time. With no goals in extra time it was finally decided by a penalty shoot-out which Grange Park won 2-0 thanks to a superb display by their keeper. Players of the day were Jack Goodman and Taran Patel.
Daventry Town U12s 0
Gregory Celtic Green 7
The match was all square until the 18th minute when Gregory Celtic managed to break the deadlock. Two more well-taken goals took the game to 3-0 at half-time.
Tom Wright had a very hectic morning in goal but constantly came up with top class saves that earned him man of the match for the second week running.
With 10 minutes remaining Gregory Celtic added a couple more goals to march into the next round of the KO Cup.
Long Buckby Stags U9s 2
Falcon Juniors 8
The Stags fought hard against a superior team and ended the first half only 1-0 down. Both teams attacked in the second-half and Stags were level at 2-2 with 10 minutes to go with goals from Connor and Harry Ellison. But Falcons stormed home for a convincing win.
Drayton Grange Colts U14s 12
Welland Valley 0
The KO Cup brought together two A-League teams and Colts came in at half time leading by four goals scored by Reiss Keating, Billy Osborne, Logan Roberts and man-of-the-match Ryan Swan.
Further goals followed with Reiss and Logan adding three goals each with two goals from Lewis Cross.
Daventry Town U14s 5
Wooldale Blue 0
Town were unlucky to go in only 1-0 up at half-time. They soon settled into the second-half and were rewarded with four cracking goals with Adam Jones completing his hat-trick. This was an excellent all-round team performance.
Drayton Grange U16s 0
Parklands Tigers 4
Parklands took an early lead but good defending from Fran Glover and Gary Birtles prevented further goals until two unstoppable efforts saw Drayton Grange trailing by 3-0 at half-time.
With Phil Emery working tirelessly in midfield, Drayton kept the pressure on Parklands in the second-half however another strong shot sealed the win late in the game. Man of match was Phil Emery.

Spinney Scorpions 5
A very slow start from Blades saw them 3-0 behind at half-time. Blades came out for the second-half with a lot more intent, competing for the ball in midfield. Man of the match Josh Bellis took a well-deserved goal after beating Scorpion's defence with pace. Spinney replied with two late goals.
Drayton Grange Diamonds 1
Wooldale Green 6
Diamonds were outplayed in every department by a well-drilled Wooldale team. They were 4-0 down at half-time but Stephen Dwyer got a goal back in the second-half. Kieran Grindlay had another
impressive game in goal and kept the score respectable and he was awarded his second man of the match this season.
D Grange Dragons U11s 2
Towcester Green 3
Dragons up against a well-organised Towcester side were soon one down in the game.
But they fought back and equalised through Richard Holland but conceded again from a well-taken free-kick before the break.
They fell further behind after the break, pulled one back through Charley Spree but were unable to find the deserved equaliser.

West Haddon Vikings 3
A bright start for Daventry saw them take the lead with a goal from Mason Watts. Vikings came back near the end of the first-half but Daventry held firm. A goal feast in the second half saw Callum Withrington (2), Coby Job and James Law get their names on the scoresheet.

Falcons White 2
Daventry Vikings had many chances to score in this cup game but with lots of pressure on them it was not to be.
There was some fine defending from Oliver Redgrave. It was only when the Falcons were 2-0 up that the Vikings came to life with a good goal from man of the match Euan Cadle. With time against them the final score was 2-1 to the Falcons.

Falcons Black 2
Vikings scored a well-deserved goal by Tyrhys Chadderton and shortly after Rowan Humphries also found the back of the net.
But then the Vikings stepped back and let the Falcons have more time on the ball which resulted in two goals for the Falcons.
Man of the match was Jack Wild for a great performance in goal.
Drayton Grange DU 4
Wooton St George 1
Drayton Grange DU produced another fine display to knock out Wooton St George 4-1 in the C League cup.
Goals from Ben Winterbourne (2), John Cooknell and a Kyle Cherry penalty sealed a deserved victory. Wooton put in a brave
display but found DU keeper Tom Barge in fine form with a man of the match display.
Drayton Grange Colts U10s 1
Gregory Celtic White 4
Colts were kept under pressure for the first-half and only great goalkeeping and good defence kept the score at 1-0.
In the second-half, Colts came back with Layton Billson chasing everything and Bradley Dornan
getting the equaliser. More chances were missed and extra time saw Celtic score late goals for a 1-4
scoreline.
Daventry Town Juniors U11s 11
Billing United 1
Daventry got off to a tremendous start going 5-0 up in the first 15 minutes with the help of an early Jack Bond hat-trick.
Town kept pressure on the home side to go in at half-time 7-1
in front.
Daventry's scorers were Jack Bond (5), Jordan Mistry (3), Ashley Fisher (2), and Spencer Knowles.

Parklands Amber 3
Parklands took the lead against Daventry but a well-taken goal by Ryan Cugini levelled the game until moments before half-time when Parklands scored again.
Daventry sustained a lot of
pressure within the second-half and coped well but conceded their third goal in the last five minutes. Man of the match was keeper Will Robb.
Buckby Ravens 1
Drayton Grange U17s 8
Drayton scored two goals in the first 15 minutes through Liam Kenny. Two further first-half goals from Sam Penhall gave Drayton a four-goal lead at half-time.
In the second-half, Drayton were rewarded with further goals from Ben Wall, Liam Kenny, Luke Halford and Luke Vukevic. Man of match went to Liam Kenny for his first hat-trick of the season.
Dav Town Vikings U10s 3
Kingsthorpe Jets Lightning 1
Daventry took an early lead when Bradley Higgs scored on the break. Bradley scored his second from the free-kick.
Daventry got their third goal when Rueben Holtom set off on a mazy run and finished well. Kingsthorpe scored a late goal but it was to late to make a comeback. Player of the day went to Rueben Holtom.
Drayton Grange Pumas U10s 4
Delapre Dragons 6
Pumas were leading 4-2 in the last minutes of this game thanks to a brace from Connor Weston, Zac Taylor and the goal of the game from man of the match Sam Brash.
But the Dragons scored twice and two more in extra-time to win 6-4.
Eagles United U11s 3
Drayton Grange Blades 10
Man of the match Connor Keating hit a sublime and majestic five, rampaging down the left, Dylan Jones chipped in with a cool brace, Jack Creaney capped a fabulous display with another brace and Ben Smalley completed the scoring with a lovely chip.
