Long Buckby slumped to a 42-run defeat at the hands of Newbold in Division One.
Newbold posted a total of 233-three thanks to good knocks from Matt Davies (78no) Craig Scott, (69) and Paul Evans (54).
In reply the Bucks fell short, finishing on 191-nine, with Reeve top scorer on 59. Dan Scott took three-20 for the victors.
Meanwhile Barby romped to an eight-wicket victory at Dunchurch & Bilton.
Dunchurch won the toss and decided to bat. Thomas and Brough added 47 for the first wicket before Brough was dismissed for 25. Ewer with 35 helped take the score to 123 before being out and it was left to Thomas to bat the 20 overs and carry his bat. He finished on 65 not out to take the Dunchurch total to 147-four in 20 overs. The pick of the Barby bowling came from Phil Beagley with two-28.
Barby started their reply in confident fashion with openers Dan Dury and Tom Gleghorn scoring runs at will against the Dunchurch bowlers.
Only Dury retiring with a calf injury with his score on 29 off 18 balls seperated the opening pair. Gleghorn continued to score runs before being out for a well made 62 off 37 balls. This left Jack Seager (21) and Will Sinclair (17no) to see Barby to victory by eight wickets. Pete Brough (two-28) was the best of the Dunchurch bowlers.
In Division Three Rowlands had little difficulty in defeating an understrength Cummins side with nearly five overs to spare.
Cummins were bowled out for 85 with Warren Courtney keeping the innings together with a defiant 30 not out. In reply Rowlands lost just three wickets in their chase and remain in the fight for promotion.
Also in Division Three, Merchants needed only 15 overs to surpass Willoughby's score of 118 for eight. Losing five wickets Watson topscored for Merchants with a rapid 37.
Surprise of the night was at West Haddon where Braunston beat the league leaders by eight runs.
Darren Cox (25), Michael Hewitt (21) and Pete Sarson (15 no) were the backbone of Braunston's innings, but it was the bowlers who really did the damage.
The total of 11-seven was not thought to be a winning score, especially as Haddon scored three boundaries in the first seven balls. Zane Doe (three-19) and Hewitt (four-16) tore through the hosts and with great support from Cox and Adam O'Connor (two-16), West Haddon were bowled out for 103.
This defeat still left West Haddon on the top of the table and they play second placed Merchants in the next series of matches.
In Divsion Four Dunchurch & Bilton Seconds beat Ashby St Ledgers by eight wickets.
Ashby were asked to bat in excellent conditions and got off to a solid start which was then supported by top scorer Price (45), batting at three, with the home side on 106 with 14 overs gone.
However, a succession of quick wickets and some tight work in the field allowed Ashby only 14 runs in the last six overs and they finished on 120 all out at the close.
When Dunchurch's Walden was run out in the sixth over with the score on 39, matters were evenly matched, but Ellis (32) and undefeated top scorer Greenway (48) held solid until the 14th over, when Ellis was bowled by Francis with the score on 92.
Unlike Ashby, this was the wicket platform the visitors were able to take advantage of, reaching 123 and deserved victory in the 18th over without further loss – with Ewer left celebrating his first six ever in a competitive match.
The weather ravaged the Senior KO Cup quarter-finals with only Stockton's game against Yelvertoft going ahead. Due to rain, the game was reduced to 16 overs a side and Stockton won the toss and chose to bowl.
