Marina and Mike Bloom recently took part in their last race of the 2008 season.
The race was supposed to be 50-miles to be held at Etwall, near Derby but roadworks had sprung up on the far end of the course so it had to be shortened to a
25-mile race.
In ideal conditions most riders recorded fast times and Marina excelled with her fastest time for 10 years, 57 minutes 28
seconds which beat her week-old club record by one and a half minutes.
Mike also improved from the previous week with an impressive one hour five minutes
15 seconds.
Anyone wishing to take up cycle sport are welcome to contact Marina or Mike on 01327 703740.
Now is considered to be the time of the year to start riding. It would mean you would be ready for a five-mile race at Willoughby, at the beginning of April 2009.
