Daventry golfing ladies were in top form in the Brampton Heath Challenge, with teams of four pairs from Brampton Heath, Northants County, Northampton Golf
Club, Kingsthorpe GC
and Daventry.
The team trophy was won by the Daventry team of Gill Leppard and Bev Johnson, Jean Poolton and Sheila Bond, Lin Johnson and Pam Price, Sue Lewis and Helen Primett, with a total of 129 points for the best three scores.

second shot on the par four ninth hole went to Daventry's Jean Poolton.
In their recent visit to Rugby Golf Club for the annual
friendly match Daventry Ladies came away winners by three games to two.
Daventry Lady Captain Gill Leppard hosted her Lady Captains' Day on Sunday and in ideal conditions the ladies played an 18-hole Stableford.
