It was part of a farming topic being studied by Year One and Year Two which has also included a former teacher’s talk about living on a farm.

A trip to a farm at Ashby St Ledgers is also planned for later in the week.

Teacher Kristian Mead said: “The children were absolutely ecstatic, seeing their faces as they were going around on the tractor was brilliant. The whole school came down and had a chance to see it and ask questions about how it worked.

“Overall, it was a fantastic day and we were all really pleased.”
