Tickets are still available for The Gusher’s family charity quiz night – and now there’s an even bigger incentive to sign up!
This week we can announce the winning team on the night will walk away with a fantastic prize of a family ticket for four to Legoland Resort, Windsor, worth £160.
And the runner up will receive a voucher for free family bowling at Hellidon Lakes Hotel.
The quiz night will be held at Daventry Leisure Centre in Lodge Road, Daventry on Friday, March 8. It is in aid of two-year-old Jago Worrall from Welton who suffered serious brain injuries following an accident at the family home in which he nearly drowned.
His parents Barney and Lyn are now looking to bring him home from a specialist clinic in Surrey while giving him the round-clock nursing care and therapies he currently receives to aid his recovery.
Mrs Worrall said: “Everyone has been amazingly generous, words can not describe how grateful we are to everyone for their support.
“We have a target of the end of the month for bringing Jago home and we are confident we can.”
Tickets for the quiz, which includes a small finger buffet, cost £8 per head or £35 per team of five and are available from the Daventry Express office or Daventry Leisure Centre. Doors will open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
There will also be a superb raffle on the night with the top prize of a Fitness Membership for the Year at Daventry Leisure Centre worth £500.
Other future fundraising events lined up include a golf day, art evening and dinner complete with auction.
Jago’s family are also in talks with the Primary Care Trust (PCT) about helping to fund part of his care.
Mrs Worrall added: “Jago is doing okay, he is still carrying on his treatments and we want to get him comfortable before we bring him home.
