Wedding plans are going well

EXCITEMENT is growing for our Win a Wedding couple Amanda Hoyle and Richard Jeffs as the countdown to their big day continues.

The couple, from Morning Star Road in Daventry, will be getting married at Staverton Park on December 29 after being named as winners in the competition organised by De Vere Venues Stavertaon Park Hotel back in July.

Their £12,000 prize includes the wedding reception, outfits, photography, flowers, entertainment and the cake.

Richard, 27, works as a courier driver and Amanda, 23, is getting ready to go back to work as an accounts assistant after taking maternity leave. The pair have an eight-month-old daughter called Skye.

Amanda said: “All the preparation is going really, really well. My dress has been chosen and the bridesmaids dresses have been ordered.

“The dress I have is gorgeous, it’s just perfect. When I came out of the changing room my mum started crying because it’s so beautiful.”

Beas Bridal in Southam has provided the dress and will also be supplying two bridesmaids’ outfits along with shoes, jewellery and bow ties or cravats for the best man and groom.

Amanda added: “We’ve also chosen the menu which will be ham for starters, lamb for main and treacle tart for desert.

“We are hoping to go and do a tasting session at Staverton in the next couple of weeks.

“Now I’m just putting the finishing touches to the invitations so they should be sent out next week.

“The hard part is deciding who’s going to come to the day and who will come to the night. We’ve been so busy but it’s all good fun and we are really excited.

“I’ve also spoken to the florist [Violets Florist in St John’s Square] and all the men will be having white button holes. I’ll also be having them in my bouquet.

“My bridesmaids will be my best friend Laura and my sister Lucy. There will also be four younger bridesmaids.

“Richard has two best men, David and Jamie. They are his two best mates and he couldn’t choose between them.”
