We’re committed to Daventry

The front office reception area at the Daventry Express office will close to personal callers from March 28 – but there are still so many ways you can get in touch as your Gusher remains as committed to your town as ever.

Journalists who cover your town continue to be based in our High Street offices, working diligently to keep bringing you all the news.

In fact, you are probably more likely to see or speak to a member of our reporting team than ever before as there are now so many other ways people can get in touch with us that don’t require a personal visit.

As is now the case, you will still be able to contact our staff by telephone or email, or you could choose to make contact via social media such as Twitter or Facebook.

And if speaking to a reporter face to face is still your preference our doors are still open to you.

From Thursday, April 3 we will be operating open office sessions so you can call in to speak to a journalist.

Visit us from 10am-noon every Thursday, 2pm -4pm every Friday or just give the newsdesk a call to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet for a chat at our offices.

Deputy Editor Amanda Chalmers said: “We remain fully committed to providing the most comprehensive news, views and sport coverage in and around Daventry in both print and online at www.daventryexpress.co.uk.

“So, let me take this opportunity to assure you that, although we are making changes, the team at the Gusher will remain based in our High Street office and remain focused on shining a light on the huge amount of great positive work being done in our communities.”

Our plans have been developed so that we can work more flexibly than ever, while continuing to maintain a highly visible presence in the community. We know how important The Daventry Express is to our local community and we believe this range of options will ensure the needs of our readers are still met.

There are many exciting plans on the horizon for Daventry, including the new Mulberry Place shopping development and cinema, and the waterspace project – and the Daventry Express will continue to be at the forefront as the town grows and thrives.

We will also be there to share your personal triumphs and successes, just as we have always been.”

Here are the phone numers you will need to stay in touch with the Daventry Express. Or there will be a handy cut out and keep guide published in this week’s paper.
