The impact of the Great War was on display at Daventry Museum on Saturday.
The New Street museum opened its new exhibition telling the story of the First World War and the impact it had on Daventry, including the town’s military hospital. Exhibits include trench art created from spent shell cases, an original nurse’s apron, photographs of local people involved in the war and more. The exhibition will remain at the museum through the summer. The museum is open Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 1.30pm, and 10am to 4pm the first Saturday of the month.
