Plans for 77-metre wind turbine near Yelvertoft were rejected by Daventry District Council’s planning committee – despite having the support of planning officers.

Yelvertoft and Crick parish councils as well as MP for Daventry Chris Heaton-Harris registered their opposition to the turbine over concerns including the management of the consultation during the planning process, flooding and the potential cumulative impact the development would have on the area.

The proximity of an existing wind farm 800 metres from the site was also raised.
