Around 400 people, including Young Farmers, friends and families, attended the event which showcased the talents of many of the group’s 259 members.

They took part in a wide range of competitions including floristry, cookery, sheep shearing, tractor handling, photography, soap carving, flat pack furniture building and tug of war, as well as fun main ring competitions such as bale rolling, bath tub racing and a fancy dress assault course

The event was supported by a number of local companies who brought trade stands along.

It was a closely fought contest on the day but Towcester Young Farmers emerged as the overall winners, with Kelmarsh YFC coming second and Oundle YFC third.
