Groups were out in force over the weekend, tidying up their communities.

The Clean for the Queen campaign asked individuals and groups to go out and help spruce up their area.

In Daventry groups of volunteers were at work on the Grange, Southbrook and Headlands, with support from local businesses, Daventry and District Housing, Daventry Town Council and the district council too.

They collected huge amounts of litter and waste in their purple bin bags.

Groups in villages including Naseby, Arthingworth, Badby, Kilsby, Moulton, Whilton, Stowe IX Churches and Weedon are also among those organising litter picks during the month.
