POLICE have released further details about an incident which saw a woman was punched in the face in Daventry on Thursday.
It happened at 5.40pm in Eastern Way. The 19-year-old woman, was driving along Eastern Way, near the Southbrook estate when the car behind began tailgating her, sounding its horn and flashing its lights.
The woman pulled over and the car behind stopped. The man driving the vehicle, got out of the car, shouted at her and then punched her in the face.
A woman passenger in the following car called the man to get bak into the car, which he did, before driving-off into the Southbrook estate. The 19-year-old suffered minor injuries in the incident.
The man is described as 6ft tall, white, aged between 20 and 25-years-old with short, dark brown hair of medium build and clean shaven. The female passenger is described as white, aged between 19 and 25, around 5ft tall, of medium build and had shoulder length dark brown hair which was parted. They were driving a silver or light blue coloured Ford Focus.
