A host of stars from the small screen will be converging on Daventry for a weekend of fundraising in aid of sick children and their families.
Stars from Emmerdale, Coronation Street, EastEnders, Shameless, Hollyoaks and more will be involved in the event, split between a disco and karaoke evening and a football match.
Organiser Terry O’Neill said: “We’ve invited them down for Saturday, April 13, to the clubhouse at Daventry Town for the disco and karaoke night, which will be for over 18s only, to get them in the mood for the match the next day. Sunday, April 14, will see the football match between the celebrities of the Once Upon A Smile Team against some local lads, the Daventry Anti Soap XI.
“The problem is that we don’t know who is going to be coming – actors don’t get told their filming schedule until two weeks beforehand.
“Matt Lapinskas, who’s on Dancing on Ice, is an ambassador, and Danny Miller is a co-founder, so hopefully they’ll be there, plus some other young famous guys.”
Tickets for the karaoke night are £20 from 07445 865420. The match tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children, or £30 for VIP, from Vital Saloon, Daventry Town FC, Barclays Bank, Hideout in Sheaf Street, and other places.
